ABC Seizes 670 Gallons of Wine from NN Shot House

NEWPORT NEWS -- Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control agents seized 670 gallons of wine from an 82-year-old Newport News man's home.

James Edward Skinner was arrested Friday after ABC special agents received anonymous complaints pertaining to the manufacture of wine at his home, in the 900 block of 15th Street, according to authorities.

Agents purchased wine on numerous occasions from Skinner who was operating a shot house. A shot house is a home where alcohol is sold illegally.

Way to go guys. You got $9,000 worth of illegal WINE off the street.

Did you slam his head onto the sidewalk, or do you save that for people in wheelchairs?
