I just wondered if you could alert your readers to another group of questionable door-to-door sales people in the area. I live in Delmar in the Whitesville Road area and was approached by a young man selling "TufStuffUSA" cleaning product for $99 a gallon yesterday. (He was dropped off by a dark-haired driver in a white Ford Expedition.) Although he did not offer the information, I recognized the product as one sold by N.J. Distributors, Inc. (owned by Nick Joseph) out of Satellite Beach, Fla. They recruit young people and bus them all over the country to pedal their products. They lure them with the promise of 50% commission and then "deduct" fees such as transportation, housing and food so they are basically left with nothing. The company encourages them to spray the cleaner in their mouth to demonstrate how safe it is and tells them to say it will just "make you go to the bathroom a lot." They did it years ago with a product called "Hy-Pro" which contained butyl cellosolve, a chemical which ingested even in small amounts, can cause system poisoning leading to kidney and liver failure.
They are very evasive about what "TufStuffUSA" cleaner contains and continue to have these naive kids demonstrate by spraying the product in their mouth. The bottom line is this: they are pimping these wayward kids out all over the place by dumping them off in neighborhoods early in the morning and not picking them up until late at night. These young people are far from home and usually pretty desperate, so the risk of crime is very high.
Please, be very cautious and keep an eye out for yourself and for your neighbors who may not be at home. Given the situation, I am very concerned for my property right now and for my dog!

Isn't your dog safely indoors with you? No? Should be cause I can't understand getting a dog just to lock it up outside.
There's another group out selling magazines. They start off telling you that they have to talk to people & get points for everyone they talk to. They get extra points if you're retired, disabled, etc. Then comes the "I only get the points if you buy a magazine". The prices are very high then you get hit with very high shipping. The girl that come to my house was also dropped off & had a certain area she had to cover & would be picked up that night. Weather didn't matter, either. She was walking around in the rain. She was from Ohio. Be careful people.
I never answer my door anymore. Too risky.

On nice days like today my dogs want to be outside. Yes my yard is fenced in but there are gates people can go through even though they are not suppose to. People are evil but that is still no reason to lock your dog up inside on such a nice day.

My dog is a small and very friendly HOUSEdog who lives in our properly climated HOUSE with adequate FOOD and WATER provided and all toxic materials safely stored away. Unfortunately, unlike you apparently, I have a JOB and have to leave the house to WORK. I fear that if someone broke in, they would harm her. I was attempting to do something nice by alerting people to a possible threat and did nothing to warrant your rude assertation. You asserted yourself inappropriately and made an incorrect assumption without the facts and no cause to do so. You should have paid better attention in school when they taught reading comprehension; perhaps you could avoid such embarrassment in the future.
