It seems that SbyNEWS publisher Joe Albero isn’t the only Maryland blogger who is sued. Baltimore City Councilwoman Belinda Conaway is suing Examiner.com blogger / columnist Adam Meister for $21 million; alleging libel and defamation.
Meister posted that Conaway owns a home in Randallstown which is listed as her primary residence on tax documents. Conaway lists a Baltimore city address which is used by several members of her very political family.
Conaway should be careful what she wishes for. It seems that she is poised on the horns of a dilemma. If she is not a city resident, she cannot sit on the city council. She lists a county resident as owner-occupied. Not a city resident or a tax-cheat?
On the surface, this lawsuit seems to be going down the same road as Barrie Tilghman’s.
