You gotta have some winners to keep the slots going strong. Remeber the reason slots were put in place (and it had NOTHING to do with horse racing or public demand). They were put there to raise revenues for the state. Instead of raising taxes another 1-3%, let the people risk their money so when they lose, well, its GAMBLING. So, now the state gets the revenue and STILL will riase taxes, fees, fines and levies. WHO are you gonna vote for now? The next magician who PROMISES to "change" Washington? Or PROMISES to get the fiscal monster under control? If any of you sheeple still believe there are politicians who look out for YOU, please call me. I PROMISE if you'll loan me $100,000, I will pay you back in 6 months. PROMISE!!! No one else can, but I will!! I PROMISE!! I'll be waiting for your call.

Maryland Budgeting 101:

1. Make a projection for slot revenue.

2. Budget to spend that amount.

3. Revenue comes in short of projections.

4. Raise the gas tax so that there is more money in the Transportation Trust Fund to borrow.
