Poaching is a very serious crime.

in excess of $100,000.00 dollors . That's stealing from every citizen.
I was a waterman and can tell you that most are honest but the few who are not have become wealthy.
These natural resources have to be policed. That's what they pay the DNR for, not to police crimes that other agencies are responsible for.
Everything I hear is that most of the oyster sanctuaries were harvested by the same families for genarations. Only to have government tell them it was now illegal. Then DNR can pick the waterman of their choice to harvest the oysters for "studies". I wonder where all the profits go from all those studies?
