Miller Says Lawmakers Working On Alcohol Tax


Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller says lawmakers are working on how to impose an increase in Maryland's alcohol tax.

What's the difference between a tax and a fee O'mally? I guess he doesn't care now he gonna do both.

well i told everyone when they raised the cig tax they might be next.

if you dont fight it when it happens to others, dont ask when they come for you

Maryland doesn't have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem.
Wait till the gasoline tax increase is passed. The bill that will most likely pass will index futurt increases in the gas tax to future increases in gasoline. That means the gas tax will continue to increase automatically over time. This will be the last time the Legislature has to go through the fignt to get a gas tax increase passed. That will make it good for the legislators and good for the Transportation Trust Fund, but really bad for the taxpayers.
NO NEW TAXES.
