Feds Find 'Systemic Violations Of Civil Rights' By New Orleans Police Department
The Justice Department’s report may lead to federal monitoring of the troubled police force, a step designed to bring about a culture change that has eluded local authorities.
So, it just wasn't the usual "one bad apple" with a gun and a badge murdering citizens, robbing drug dealers, beating people half to death, extorting and taking bribes, it was THE WHOLE BUSHEL. They weren't (and aren't) a police force. They are merely another armed gang with the legal authority to kill you. And get away with it. And I KNOW all the people they murdered, robbed, and extorted (and those who complained to the police, expecting justice, but only receiving more threats) are very happy that there will now be some "oversight". Happy days are here again.
