If the Government tested for drugs they would surely deter many from recieving the food credit. Although i do not know if drug testing is a drastic money saver--compared to the 160$ a single man with no child gets.

Kentucky is trying to get random drug testing for people that get welfare and food stamps. Since many people have to take a drug test for their job why shouldn't they be held to the same standards. That $160 may not sound like much but over a time it does add up. If people can afford drugs they can afford food. If they have children the child should not have to grow up with a druggie for a parent.
