Junior Cotillion Winter Ball

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share the pictures from our Winter Ball.  This included both Year One and Year Two classes.  The students had the opportunity to practice the skills they have learned up to this point in their classes.  The also participated in a Foxtrot Contest, a Beach Shag Contest, a Cha Cha Contest and a Snowball Elimination Contest.  The Snowball Elimination Contest was loads of fun to watch.  They were instructed that they had to dance a  Slow Foxtrot which went  into a Medium Foxtrot, then into a Fast Foxtrot.  They were also instructed that they had to hold a snowball (a Styrofoam ball) and not drop it. The kicker was that they had to hold it between their foreheads.  You’ll see the pictures of this. They were so intense!!

They had a 15-20 minute Refreshment time in which they had the opportunity to go to the Refreshment table, ladies escorted by the gentlemen, get their refreshments, then sit properly at a table set with linen napkins and served an ice cream pie with raspberry sauce.  It was the gentlemen’s responsibility to be sure the ladies were well-served and assisted in seating.

They all did a wonderful job and looked terrific.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.  You can view them by clicking on the following link:  http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=27753&id=110181769046158&saved#!/pages/Eastern-Shore-Chapter-NLJC/110181769046158
