Recently re-elected Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr., will deliver his 5th “State of Wicomico County” address on Tuesday, December 28th at 10:00 A.M. in Council Chambers of the Government Office Building. The public is invited.
Mr. Pollitt has traditionally used the County Charter-mandated speech to recap the activities of the past year and set an agenda for the new year. “The past twelve months has been a time of great success for our county, even as our challenges grow in significance,” Pollitt said. “My second term will, by necessity, involve the establishment of a whole new context for county government as we honor our obligation to provide core public services with ever-declining public resources.”

Since being reelected, Pollitt has already begun pleading with our state representatives in the General Assembly to pass legislation to authorize more Wicomico County taxes. Maybe he will discuss that in his speech.
Will this be his last term?
