Delmar EMS Takes Over Salisbury Territory?

Joe,

Through my travels I saw two Delmar ems ambulances at English's in Salisbury. This is the first major snow storm of the season, shouldn't they be on call in Delmar?

That is salisburys new north end station. They are helping to staff it with manpower and equipment until salisbury can afford to do it themselves. It is in the best interest of the citizens of salisbury.

you people stop cant a person stop and get some dinner for the people on call

i know it is not my call but i feel as though places such as wor wic should be closed. the later it gets most likely the worse the roads will get when they start to freeze. it does not matter how cautious you are whiile driving there will always be someone in a hurry to get somewhere for no reason at all which in turn is risk others lives along with the dummy in a hurry to get no where fast.

Oh goodness sake, who cares if it is a 12 pc. or 8 pc tub dinner meal - we all have to eat and if they do help out the north end of Salisbury, good. If everyone would work together instead of being so territorial, things would work out much better anyway.

Maybe they had to take somebody to the hospital and stopped for food on their way back to Delmar...come one people get a life....cj

They have to eat too! Until you have gone out there and done this job yourself; then don't criticize those who do!

Why dint you stop and ask?

Anonymous said...

i guess they are not allowed to eat.

Yo Drama Queen,
They are on their way back from a hospital run. Mind your own fucking business and get working on the latest lawsuit. Or are you being a pussy, AGAIN.

Hey at least they took ambulances to dinner and not the ladder truck! Gotta be a little cheeper on fuel.

I understand they must eat. However having 2 ambulances out of their service area is not a good idea. How many ambulances do they have? If a call does come in who will cover it. Response time it already slower because of the road conditions. Just like in any other company. You dont all leave and go to lunch. Have one person go and get it and bring it back.

You are correct and it isn't going to get any better. As long as the idiot mayor and council continue to allow non EMS leadership to run the fire department it is going to continue to get worse and fail. Thank you Delmar paramedics for being there in Salisbury for me and my family.

Joe, I don't like the language in 5:07. I thought you weren't going to allow this.

There jurisdiction acutally stops at Dagsboro Road, so there only about a mile out anyway. Let them eat dinner, one can only eat but so much Delmar Pizza, its good but sometimes you need a change.

if it were you or your family that needed help in that area you wouldn't care if the ambulance came from New Castle or Chincoteague or if they ate fried chicken or tuna cassarole for lunch. Good Grief people! Don't Hate- Appreciate.

According to the Health Department, FOOD is not allowed inside an EMS unit. Think about the issues this may cause in putting some foreign matter into your mouth. I thought Ireton hired a fire chief who can follow the law?

Ireton hired a chief that isn't qualified to be a lieutenant in the Salisbury Fire Department much less a fire chief. The person Ireton hired isn't qualified to be a volunteer member for the Salisbury Fire Department. He isn't even a basic EMT-B in the state of Maryland. This guy has no qualifications or certifications in the State of Maryland so he is not fit to be running a multimillion dollar department in the City of Salisbury. He is a liability and the citizens have been duped by Jim Ireton again!

This story shows just how quick people are to talk about something they have no idea what they are talking about. These are two Delmar EMS units. They have nothing to do with the Salisbury Fire Dept. If it was not for these two units most of the Salisbury tax payers would not have had parmedic services. Delmar has to cover Salisbuy all the time. So let them stop and eat. They are only 2 miles from Delmar. If someone would have wrecked yesterday it is their own fault. Drive slower when it snows dummy.

Actually, the Health Department does not regulate ambulances and there is NO law or rule stating food cannot be in there. EMS is governed by a separate state agency, and it's certainly not the health department's oversight. Try making something else up that makes sense, dummy!
