US Added 151,000 Jobs In October, Where's Mine?

Beating expectations, the US added 151,000 jobs in October, for the first time since May. Analysts had projected only a 60,000 gain. It wasn't enough to nudge the unemployment rate, however, which held at 9.6%.

I for one filed for unemployment in October. It's been over 3 weeks now and I have received from MD is a barrage of form letters telling me how I will eventually receive (in a yellow envelope if that means something) a Debit Card from Citibank in Nebraska so I won't have to wait in line to cash a check. Let me tell you, I would gladly wait in line if they give me any money all.

I have to wonder what the reasoning was to pay Citibank to manage disbursements to recipients. I don't know yet if I will be charged banking fees in addition to the income taxes that will be withheld.

When the numbers go down you use it as evidence for how terrible Obama is. When they go up, you say the numbers can't be accurate. Sorry, you can't have it both ways. Reminds me of the selective use of CBO analysis by the politicians.

The same number of people were born in the same time frame = No net gain.

Tim also consider the number of people being permitted to migrate into our country both legally and illegally. Then the number is probably a net loss!

I wonder how many we lost in October?

8:53 its an electronic, prepaid debit card system... its faster, more efficient and cheaper for the state than using paper checks, mailing statements, etc. You aren't charged anything and you can easily transfer funds right into your own bank account

The system for counting jobs "saved" and jobs "created" is all there just to make it seam as if the stimulus plan is sparking more jobs. The way they track this is when you have employees working on a federal job you turn in certified payroll for these employees and these are jobs "saved" or "created" by the government however you would like to look at it. It doesn't mean that company would not have other jobs for those employees or wouldn't focus their sales efforts elsewhere it's just a numbers game to make the stimulus look as if it is working. 151,000 jobs created is just smoke and mirrors. Barack has a great future as a magician!

Has anyone seen a majority of the workers on the RT 13 bridge over 50? There's your job, sending money back to Mexico weekly...

American's have been catered to for entirely too long with unemployment. Go find a job when you lose one, it doesn't have to be "the perfect job" but any will do at that point - they are out there! This calling around to a few business's to "job hunt" only to satisfy unemployment's requirements is a real joke. What happened to the "whatever it takes" attitude America was built on? Not saying everyone is this way I know some people legitimately can't find a job but entirely to many people take advantage of this system. Stop talking - ACT.

Obama hired a bunch of muslims to greet the illegal aliens at the US border.
