Why is the sign discussion being held at 5:30, not in front of the public? Will Ray carey try to convince everyone how he didn't undrstand it yet he;s the one who made the motion to pass it? Gloria said to a room full of people that she wasn't there when it was voted on and doesn't kow anything about it. Why is she on the council again? I don't care if she's at the meeting or not, she's still informed on whats going on. She can't tell us that she knows nothing about things just because she's not present.

Gloria doesn't know what's going on when she is present.

It is being discussed at an OPEN work session at 5:30. There will be a first reading during the regular council meeting at 7:30, at which time it will be open for discussion again. You can't have a work session during a regular meeting. There is opportunity to modify it even after tonight to include additional council comments or comments from the public, before 2nd/final reading next month when it is voted on. There needs to be atleast a rough draft to read at first reading, that's why there is work session at 5:30. Anyone can come. Not to worry, I am sure it will be handled.

What about their Open Meeting Act, and don't tell me they don't have a substantive discussion amd hear comments for "staff" about things on the agenda at this "meeting before the meeting" -

7:00 p.m. City Council and Staff will meet to review the evening’s agenda in the conference room.

12:23, What kind of substantive meeting are you going to have in a half hour? The door to the room is open. What exactly do you think is going to happen anyway? If you disagree with it, why don't you ask Mr. Mitchell about the legalities of such. They have been doing it for 20 years. If they really thought they were violating the act, don't you think they would be a little more discreet?
