2 Md. Teens Charged After Toddler Shoots Himself

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Police in Hagerstown have charged a 16-year-old with firearm and theft violations after his 2-year-old brother accidentally shot himself in the chest with a stolen handgun hidden under a bed.

The victim was in critical condition Monday at Children's Hospital in D.C. after the early morning shooting at an apartment on Little Elliott Drive in Hagerstown.

Praying for this poor child. What was a teen doing w/a gun under his bed for God's sake? The poor choice of the older brother will haunt him for the rest of his life. I wonder how tough he feels now to have his own gun?

I'll be praying for the toddler that he has a good recovery. The teen needs tobe disciplined for this because his brother could have killed himself. I bet he doesn't feel like a big man now. So sad.
