Georgetown
- Delaware State Police have made one arrest in a home invasion in which a shot was fired.

The crime happened last evening around 11:30 p.m. when 3 to 4 suspects broke out glass on a rear door of the home and made entry. Once inside the suspects confronted 3 adults and 3 children. As they began to make demands the suspects were confronted by two pit bulls. As the suspects were retreating one of them fired a shot from a hand gun into the house which narrowly missed a child.

The suspect fled to a vehicle however Cohen did not make it back to the car prior to them fleeing. Troopers found him in a wooded area approximately ¼ mile from the house. Troopers also located a weapon in the woods but believe it is not the one that was used to shoot into the house.

Cohen was charged with Attempted Robbery 1st, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Burglary 1st, 6 counts of Reckless Endangering, Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony, Criminal Mischief and Conspiracy 2nd. He was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $98,500 cash bail.

The investigation is still on going.

If anyone has any information concerning the identity of the other suspects they are asked to call “Crime Stoppers.” Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be forwarded to law enforcement through tip lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-333 3 or on line at http://www.tipsubmit.com/.

His buddies left him to hang out to dry! And he won't return the favor by giving them up?

Time to cut a deal here ...

Yup he looks like the typical low life thug scumbag that needs to go to jail and stay there. There is nothing good in anyone that looks like that

I'm sure this poor misunderstood young man only broke into the house looking for bread and milk to feed his family. Not only that but his friends came along to vouch for his character. Where do I go to pay his bail?
