Barack Obama wants MORE spending to aid the economy. Yet, he didn’t hesitate to put an estimated 23,000 people out of work “for the environment”. That’s the cost of his administration’s decision to stop drilling in the Gulf.
I guess a job’s not a job unless you work for the government.
We were told that this was necessary because we were facing the greatest environmental disaster of our lifetimes. Well, it seems that wasn’t exactly true. However, Obama followed Rahm Emmanuel’s advice – never let a good crisis go to waste.

And BP's disaster has cost far more in loss of livelihoods for generations across many job sectors over a huge geographic region that has yet to finish spreading and damaged one of the earth's most incredible ecosystems, with that damage still spreading.
Because of corporate greed and Americans' unwillingness to make any sacrifice whatsoever in the short run, our long-term economic health is totally in the toilet.
If this is how America had behaved during WWII, we would have lost the war.

Obama's moratorium on oil drilling has cost 23,000 jobs , but his election has cost this country millions of jobs. He will spend his way to a socialist nation. How many jobs did Bush cost Americans by letting Big Business and Wall Street line their pockets. He pushed over the Economy and left office as it hit the ground. Most of America knows it. Some few still have their heads in the sand, and other sip tea.

Speaking about people losing jobs....I just returned from a road trip and have never seen so many "going out of business" signs or closed down stores in shopping and office complexes. I went out to the local centre recently and it looks like a ghost town and the clothes look like they are all "leftovers"...people are not shopping like they did in the past and businesses are closing down right and left - pretty eerie feeling to see that happening. Its sad that my children will not experience the great life that I had growing up - now all they see are empty stores, for sale signs everywhere and hearing about all the people out of work!
