Fox News' Bill O'Reilly is warning that if President Barack Obama ever bypasses Congress and uses his pardon power to make millions of illegal aliens citizens, he could face serious calls for his impeachment.
“If President Obama were to sign an executive order giving illegal aliens amnesty, his career would be over and an impeachment movement would explode,” O'Reilly said Friday night on his “Talking Points” segment during his top-rated Fox show.
At the same time, O'Reilly said he did not believe reports that the Obama administration would grant such a blanket amnesty.
Fox News, however, reported this week: “The Obama administration has been holding behind-the-scenes talks to determine whether the Department of Homeland Security can unilaterally grant legal status on a mass basis to illegal immigrants, a former Bush administration official who spoke with at least three people involved in those talks told FoxNews.com.”

If he WERE to be crazy enough to pass this law and he was impeached, would we be stuck with a bunch of legal illegals or would it undo the new law?
Reagan granted amnesty in the 80s. No one impeached him. In fact, hardly anyone complained.
It would not be a law and it should be able to be reversed by another executive order by a new president.
9:37 is correct. The overwhelming majority of senators and congress persons, Democrat & Republican, represent the rich. The rich want to exploit the illegal alien workforce and screw the legal American workers they are elected to represent!

Note that this path to citizenship was not automatic. Indeed, the legislation stipulated several conditions: immigrants had to pay application fees, learn to speak English, understand American civics, pass a medical exam and register for military selective service. Those with convictions for a felony or three misdemeanors were ineligible.
5:42, that sounds similar to the plan that Obama has put forth on several occasions, hmmm.
Not that I agree with either plan. Lock down on worksite enforcement and punish the employers. Create an Employment Fence and you will see illegals scrambling back across the border and help our current unemployment problem.
