LOS ANGELES --- A space-themed, talking Hallmark graduation card is being pulled from store shelves because of the card’s reference to a black hole.
But members of the Los Angeles NAACP say the message sounds like "black whore" in the card's audio recording. That's how they hear it, and they say it's racist, KABC-TV in Los Angeles reported.
"That was very demeaning to African-American women when it made reference to African-American women as whores, and at the end it says 'watch your back,'" said Leon Jenkins of the Los Angeles NAACP.
The Hallmark card reads, "Hey world, we are officially putting you on notice," before playfully touting the ambitious future of the new graduate.

are u serious??? it clearly states "black holes" not only that, but it fits the whole card...black whores would not even be in context of that card! seriously people Grow up. Leave it to them to come up with that. My god, so stupid! and its says the card has been on sale for over 3 years! some low life trying to sue for money apparently should have gone to the dollar store for thier grad card! im suprised they could afford a halmark!

NAACP is actually a good agency when they do what they are really supposed to do.
Things like this take away from the validity of the agency.
Anyone in America who says racism does not exist- is probably a racist. There is no such thing as reverse racism, etc. Its just plain racism.
And there is alot of it, even now in this era. Do you think that if we pretend it doesnt exist, or act like people dont know what they are talking about when the topic comes up, it will just disappear?

Next thing they will say is that slavery never existed, that segregation was a lie made up by the government, that blacks hung themselves in some sort of conspiracy to make the government look bad. Let's be honest, America, racism does exist.
Yes Dee-racism does exist and it's mostly from your side of the fence. Get over the slavery thing. Had it not been for slavery, you would be over in Africa dying of AIDS. True or false? Because of slavery, you have the privilege of living in (what once was) the greatest country in the world. Love it or leave it.
