Michael Vick At Snow Hill High School Tonight

I was really interested in getting some serious feedback on this situation that is brewing about Snow Hill High School entertaining Michael Vick on Monday at 6:00 at the school campus which is not open to the public and is not represented by any of the local animal shelters, Humane Society's or SPCA'S.

I am sure you are aware of it and I am definitely positive that you are quite a critter lover yourself. Can you help get the word out to everyone to contact the principal at the Snow Hill High School...410-632-1658 and just let them know how they feel about it. I don't want to get all riled up but that POS needs to stay in Philly - he has no business being around the kids down here.

We are not to judge, but leave the judgement to God.

I think he has a great story to tell. He was doing something terrible to animals, and now has turned his life around. And when I say turned his life around, he has done a one eighty and has changed his ways.

I am no Michael Vick fan and never was, but from a human aspect, we all have things in our lives that we do wrong, and in God's eyes, no sin is greater than any other.

He served his time, he turned around his life, and not only has he changed his behavior in regards to animals, but he has also stopped other things that were character flaws.

He should not be punished forever, he has repented and changed his life, for that we all should be thankful and welcoming.

Yeah poor rich quater back turns life around after getting paid millions of dollars.

If you believe that your wacked, he just is not going to get caught being that stupid again...

Thats what you get for paying someone millions of dollars to play sports when cops, firefighters and military get near nothing...

He is actually representing the national humane society. He's paid his debt to society. What happened to forgiveness. Typical comment of eastern shore rednecks.

My grandson has been invited to go to this as and as much consternation I had about what the SOB did to the dogs, he has paid his debt, he has apologized, and has volunteered to be here for these at-risk kids. Like it or not, they will get more of a "message" from someone like him than from a sheriff's deputy.

I believe God want's us to forgive sins of others and let Him judge them. Its hard to do, I admit, but I am going to forgive him - unless or until his behavior indicates otherwise. Just my personal opinion of course.

Michael Vick is going to a rural High School to speak to some young men about good and bad choices in life. You don't know what kind of lives some of these students live, and perhaps Mr. Vick can give them some guidance on what NOT to do. Let's give these students an opportunity to hear what he has to say.

The only reason he's doing this is because he GOT CAUGHT! If he hadn't, he'd probably still be fighting dogs for the money.
NOW, he wants to try and make himself look good FOR THE MONEY.
This guy has no shame!

Dog fighting in Salisbury area is a BIG thing and if he can influence some kids about it, well, power to him. He seems genuinely remorseful and who's to say that he really isn't sorry for the despicable acts he's done...I've done some things I am REALLY sorry for and would be sad to know I could never be forgiven, no matter what I did or said...give the guy a chance...lighten up and let those who have never sinned cast the first stone.

11:04, way to point out the obvious. Isn't prison supposed to rehabilitate and show you the error of your ways?

Ok this is for the kids! If he helps one kid even if he doesnt really mean what he is saying than so be it! And its no different as us parents telling our kids not to smoke drink drive fast and we do those things! I urge everyone NOT to call the school, these kids are so excited about this!

Michael will demonstarte how to pick a dog up with out harming it so it can be lifted high over his head to slam it hard on the ground and kill it quickly.
He is a piece of Sh*t that came close to blowing the only thing he had going for him in his life, football. Without it he was just another dog fighting thug from the street. His remorse is for how it almost co$t him dearly and nothing more. When he looks into the eys of a dog, even the dog knows he's full of bullsh*t. People can't see as clearly. I do give him credit though, he has proved he can do more than play football......he can act. Go Eagles

so lets just put every criminal in jail for life because apparently there is no such thing as retribution.

11:52 Prison rehabilitate prisoners?? Now that's a joke.

If he was fighting dogs and one day woke up to realize he was wrong for promoting such stupid behavior, he then changed his ways and saw the error in his judgment. However, he did not stop fighting dogs until he was arrested for doing so. Therefore his decision to stop abusing animals was made for him, not becuase he all of a sudden developed common sense and compassion for living things.

Why doesn't he have the business being down here? He made his mistake and did time let him live..the kids are excited..both of my cousins are invited to go.

Phelps was in Salisbury driving under the influence, risking everyones human life here on the shore. Did any of you protest his appearances? Then he was caught on you tube smoking weed. But he is still the All American Favorite Swimmer...WTF

he is a convicted criminal whose biggest accomplishment is that he played football. big deal. kids should find someone better to look up to in more ways than one.

2:23, so the dumb 18 or 19 y/o who gets locked up for selling drugs, realizes that drug dealer is a dumb@$$ deadend profession, then tries to come out and do good is ultimately hopeless?

Anonymous said...

No wonder our kids are out of control. We keep putting CRIMINALS in front of them as people they should listen to and look up to!?
WTF!?

4:28 he wasn't a dumb 18 yr old looking to make easy money. He was an overpaid athlete with millions that tortured, starved, beat, and killed helpless animals that did not ask to be abused or euthanized do to his own personal ignorance and above the law mentality.

Every person in this world makes a mistake but killing helpless animals goes well beyond forgetting to use a turn signal.

Where's your exclusive interview with Vick? WBOC got an interview. I guess they one-up'ed you on that!

anonymous 10:04, aka, WBOC,

I wouldn't spend 1 second with that piece of sh!t.

While you may gain a woody from such an interview, I wouldn't waste my time or gas on that scumbag.

I also highly doubt many of your viewers were impressed either.

Don't forget to view all of tomorrow's stories as you'll see what Salisbury News does for our community to make a positive difference.

It's tough being #1, but you wouldn't know that these past few years, would you.

Sorry, anyone who abuses animals to that degree is a dick and deserves to be an outcast.Drug dealers, bank robbers, even some murderers can be redeemed. But people who abuse and kill animals are only a rung or two above child molesters and rapists in my book.
