The shopping center that the Applebee's is located in has tons of security cameras(as well as the shopping center directly across the street from it as well), so I'm not suprised if they were able to pull a license plate. Hopefully they will find the perp asap.

I hope they find this bastard and fry him. My condolances to this officers family and fellow officer family.

24 years old, a police officer, and a mentor to kids in his community- a life lost for a bit of money. That is just heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, his fiancee, and his community.

Hopefully the investigation will be locked solid so there is no way some slime ball lawyer can get the coward off with some plea deal.

Sad to see anyone that tries to be a positive role model for children killed, but even sadder to see someone who was out there protecting all of us killed. Especially over some stupid incident where someone was acting a fool and the man was doing his job.

Well from the news reports I've heard up here in DC, they've found the gun, matched the ballistics, and the guys have even admitted to the shooting. I was there that friday morning(around 9am), and there were about 70 officers still on the scene. Atleast they caught em, now they should fry em.
