TROOPERS CHARGE PAIR WITH CDS POSSESSION
On May 23, 2010 at 0310 hours, Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack of the Maryland State Police stopped a Chevy Blazer traveling north bound in the south bound lane of the Salisbury Bypass that almost collided with several oncoming vehicles. Troopers contacted the driver and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. After further investigation, Travis Matthew Holyfield, 19, of Salisbury, was arrested for DUI/DWI. A search of the vehicle incident to his arrest revealed several schedule II narcotic pills not prescribed him. Holyfield was charged with DUI/DWI, possession of a schedule II narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and various other traffic charges. A 17 year old female passenger who was in the vehicle with him was charged with underage possession of alcohol, possession of a schedule II narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia. Holyfield was turned over to a District Court Commissioner pending a hearing while the female juvenile was released to her mother.

There lucky they are not dead. A head on wreck on the bypass most certainly resulted in serious injuries or deaths. Thanks Troopers. Keep up the good work.
What a loser!
