Annapolis - Bob Ehrlich today issued the following statement on the recently-concluded legislative session of the Maryland General Assembly.
“The Maryland legislature adjourned last night without enacting any long-term solutions to Maryland’s high unemployment rate, burdensome tax rates, or skyrocketing budget deficit,” said Ehrlich. “By refusing to tackle these challenges, Governor O’Malley and the legislature set the stage for a monumental tax increase after November’s election, which could further weaken Maryland’s job market. Maryland deserves better than a government that kicks the can down the road while 230,000 Marylanders stand in the unemployment line. With the right leadership, I believe we can help small businesses create jobs, balance the state budget, and lower the tax burden on working families. That is why I have proposed reducing Maryland’s sales tax by 20% to help entrepreneurs and working families. I look forward to communicating my vision for a more prosperous Maryland in the coming months.”

I wonder why Page Elmore, a republican, broke from his party and supported a budget that is going to guarantee such a big tax increase next year?

As long as there is a big voting block of Dumbocrat freeloaders in Baltimore that can outvote the whole state, the eastern shore will just be the taxpayers that pay for the loafers to sit home and collect welfare!

UNTIL voters change that. Granted, it won't happen overnight but why wait until Maryland is another Michigan?
I'd like to see a third candidate with true TEA party ideals.

Maryland is already another Michigan.
And I'm not an advocate for either O'Malley and/or Ehrlich.
Under Ehrlich we got the following:
1. Highest real estate property tax increase occurred during his watch.
2. Highest tag fee increase - (tractors, trailers, cars, trucks)
3. Highest electric utility rate increase ever recorded - (72% for Constellation's customers).
4. Flush tax was signed into law.
Need I say more.
And with O'Malley - he deserves no better reception as look at the deplorable conditions of Baltimore, Maryland while he was Mayor.
Just a few blocks outside from the Inner Harbor and look at the poverty, pan handlers, crime, etc.
Neither man should be elected as Maryland's Governor.

9:07 Ehrlich left Maryland with a huge deficit. Check that out and give us your findings. Then tell me why you or anyone else would want him back as Governor of Maryland
well i looked into it and the last budget omally did had a 1.6bill surplus, hhmmmm.
