That place has been a haven for illiegal hijinx for years. That has got to be the only way it stays open. None of the MANY business who have tried to open up next door have made it for very long. It always made me wonder how that place stayed open. I am not shocked by this incident. That place needs a complete overhaul of business and clientele.

Max would not have let this happen. When he passed away and left it to his daughter, it began slipping. Then when she passed, her brother began running it. It will only get worst if he doenst change. Max is rolling in his grave.

Now hold up. I can't speak for what this place has been over the last year or so, but I used to frequent it up till '08. I always had a good time. The place was always safe. And the people got along quite well. I don't recall seeing anything shady or illegal going on. In fact, this is the first incident that I have heard being reported from this place.

Max would be doing revolutions in his grave if he knew what was going on now at his place of business. His daughter took it over and learned how to run it decent. She passed away and a lady named Jane ran it and had it much better than it had been in a long time. Now another family member of Max's has taken it over with no business sense. This is what we have now.R.I.P Max old buddy. The world misses you

I'll also add that this is one of the only places I've seen on the Shore where you had plenty of blacks and whites of all ages hanging out and having a good time with each other. To me it was funny (in a good way) to see the DJ spin hip hop for a few songs, then the karoake (sp.?) crews would get a few songs. Made for some fun times for all. Again, I haven't been back there in years, but this place was always cool from my experience.

this place was bad back when i was younger the first time i went there gun shots were fired and drugs were being sold outside that was my last time going until maxes daughter took over always had a good time until they started having the hip hop djs and all the blacks were going thats when the trouble started i once had a blk girl tell me you get all the blacks in a bar its bound to be a fight or gunfire thats why she stopped going to the dugout so it wasnt the owners doing anything illegal it was the customeres coming and going
