Joe, I thought this might be of interest.
At around 9:00pm tonight the hotel where my friend works had 10 people come in to have dinner. They had been at Coins (28th St. as I'm sure you know) & were just about to order dinner when the DEA came in with masks on & guns drawn. They ordered everyone out & locked it down. When my friend left to come home a while later, he said there were cop cars surrounding the place. Just thought you might want to check in to this.

actually DEA did not come in with guns and mask. sounds like ur friend is adding more to this story than was there
I was there when it happened as well. But it wasnt DEA, they were all Ocean City Cops. Im assuming they were either looking for a wanted guy or drugs. Coins has always held a descent crowd and nothing like some of the other dumps that gather a nasty crowd such as Harbor Inn, Cork Bar and Cowboys. Joe, id love to know what exactly happened. Let us know when you find out

Coins has always been a place for drunks and druggies. Ever since Vince left the place its gone downhill. 28th Street is a big area for drugs. Mothers Cantina, Buxys, Bootys and Coins all have there share of nasty crowds. As far as I know no DEA agents ever busted Cork Bar or Cowboyz.....
If it quacks like a duck.....just because you like the place doesnt mean its not full of criminals...HYPOCRITES
I beg to differ on the Buxy's comment. Family & children are often seen at Buxy's.
