Sixty-six percent (66% -- that's two-thirds) of U.S. voters prefer a smaller government with fewer services and lower taxes over a more active government with more services and higher taxes.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 22% prefer a government with more services and higher taxes. Eleven percent (11%) aren't sure which is best.
Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans and 63% of voters not affiliated with either major party like a smaller government better. Democrats are more narrowly divided, but even a majority of them (51%) favor a smaller government-- while 37% opt for a larger, more activist government.
So, the next and most obvious question would be:
Who do these clowns in Washington claim to be representing while they do what they've been doing?
Inquiring minds would certainly like to know...

Just look at the health care debate. These clowns in Washington only represent themselves. They are ramming this bill through when NOBODY wants it!
They do not represent the voters any longer. Why should they they have a salary of $170,000 +, the best healthcare, travel any where in the world at tax payers expense (not a penny out of pocket), health clubs, 100% retirement and their spouse get 50% of the Politians salary as a retirement when the Politian leaves office and many other tax payer benefits. They make laws togive / benefit themselves without recourse since they keep things like this quit so the tax payer is not aware. Find me a sweeter deal than this.
Their wallet. A bunch of lazy slugs.

This is how communism works-the government controls everything and the subjects pay most of their income to finance it. Why don't people see this?
