On October 9, 2009 at approximately 5:56 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence on the five hundred (500) block of Jefferson Street for controlled dangerous substances. Located during the execution of the warrant were quantities of suspected cocaine, several smoking devices containing CDS residue and CDS weighing scales.

On October 9, 2009 at approximately 10:20 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to area of the Ramada Inn Hotel for the report of the armed robbery of a food delivery person. Upon arrival the officers met with a single victim who had been robbed at gunpoint while delivering food to the Ramada Inn. While outside of the business, near his vehicle, the victim was approached by a suspect who produced a handgun and demanded two (2) pizzas the victim had for delivery. The suspect also attempted to take U.S. currency from the victim, but was unsuccessful. Once the suspect took the pizzas from the victim the suspect fled on foot toward W. Main St. Responding officers observed the suspect and pursued him on foot. After a lengthy foot chase the suspect was stopped in the area of the Downtown Plaza. The suspect was positively identified and taken into custody. The Maryland State Police responded to the area with a K-9 and while retracing the flight path of the suspect, located and recovered the handgun which turned out to be a pellet gun. The pizzas were recovered. Once the suspect was identified, the suspect was found to be wanted on a Maryland State Police arrest warrant for unrelated charges.

Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that the below listed suspects had been observed by store personnel taking clothing from the store without making payment. The clothing was recovered and returned to the store.

While checking the vehicle, the officers found that suspect # 1 had no driving license and the vehicle had been reported stolen from a residence on Van Buren Avenue. As a result, the operator and other three (3) occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.
