Warden John W. Welch Jr. was screwed by his command staff. Why would he EVER considered coming back to WCDC or the eastern shore. The staff was better off with Warden Welch. Unfortunately, he was betrayed.

You really thought you could just continue throwing that devilish master slave dragon rip around for so many years and get away with it. Some of us did not have to endure such punishment. Many of us did endure. While you made so many unfair, low down, and indecisive decisions because you wanted to be the god almighty feared leader of WCDC, you failed as a director and you failed all of us. Some of us may not be where we use to be before your arrival. But, one day we shall all overcome. And, the wounds that you had inflicted on us will heal one day. And, our faith in ourselves will grow stronger and stronger each and everyday along with our heartfelt faith in GOD.
We hope our thoughts and heartfelt horrors of you tenure will go with you. We hope and wish you the best failure at your new place of employment. We will pray for the employees at the Talbot County Detention Center and hope that you will not run their Detention Center down into the firing pits of hell as you did at WCDC. We really do hope and pray that you end up in a federal prison enduring the same disrespect the men and the women (inmates and employees) at WCDC endure. You are a disgrace to this profession and beneath everything that is good at Wicomico County Detention Center. Good-bye and good riddance, once again. You are truly a part of the SCHITT family because you really didn’t give a SCHITT about WCDC. FUNK YOU.
