Town Hall Meetings Sway Rep. Kratovil's Opinion On Health Care

A recent article in the Financial Times has made light of the effect that town hall meetings are having on freshman members of Congress. Our own Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-MD01), and Virginia's Rep. Tom Perriello (D-VA) were profiled as members of the Democratic majority who are wavering in support of a government-run health care option due to the public outcry during the August recess. To read the article, CLICK HERE.

AFP-Maryland was very effective in encouraging all of our 1st Congressional District members to attend Rep. Kratovil's town halls to let him know to keep "Government's Hands Off Our Health Care"! Besides the recess meetings that the Congressman scheduled, citizens have been rallying against a government option outside of his local district offices. On Tuesday our partner in the fight for liberty, Campaign for Liberty, helped organize a rally outside of Rep. Kratovil's Bel Air office where more than 250 local residents attended.

All of these public displays of displeasure are truly having an impact on public policy. Yesterday, Gallup released a poll that showed Americans say the protests make them more sympathetic to our cause. Swing voters, particularly registered Independents, agree with that statement by more than a 2-to-1 spread! What we are doing is working, but we need to keep the pressure on the elected officials. Both AFP-Maryland and C4L will be helping to organize more rallies against government-run health care, so please stay tuned...

He's full of it , they are wolves
in sheeps clothing. He's being paid to BS both sides. Typical of a freshman without a set of $alls.

If he votes in favor of the health care plan at least we will know he is not a "blue dog" but instead a democrat "lap dog".

if he votes for it, he's done in his political career and he knows it.

Hvae no fear folks. Frankie Boy, the smarmy one has been shipped off to the Middle east for a few weeks to have his brain replaces with a slave brain. He will vote and speak as Queen Nancy tells him upon return.

Frank will vote whatever he feels is best for the district, the state and the US of A. If it costs him an election, so be it. Frank is a man of great integrity, and something as petty as a job won't hold sway over what he knows to be right or wrong.

I'm sure being hung in effigy really makes you want to vote the way those doing the hanging want you to.

If what you say is actually true, "Frankie" or Congressman Kratovil as I prefer to call him, would NOT have voted for cap and trade. Cap and Trade will HURT Eastern Shore Farmers and HELP chinese ag and other foreign countries. This is an undisputed FACT. Congressman Kratovil voted how the MONEY of the League of Conservation Voters wanted him to vote.
He ignored what was best for US, and went with the money, Pelosi, and Reid.
I will give the man credit though, he put up with a lot of crap, and stood tall, well, as tall as he can be, and we respect him for it.

He tell you that he is against it then he will VOTE FOR IT, just like the other bills that are killing our country.
