I bet that farmer sure is enjoying those subsidies though.
How about the "subsidy" to Monsanto that Democrats passed while Obama distracted with Beergate. Read about THAT bill--it kills small farmers.

How did Obama "distract". It was you guys fueling the "Obama is a racist" stories. And all bills go up on House/Senate/Whitehouse webpages so turn off fox news and look up info. objectively; you'll find alot of info. "hiding" right under your nose.
8:44 - I'm disgusted by all politicians, they're all liars and thieves. I'm an independent who is also tired of the hypocrisy of people getting theirs in the form of government assistance but not wanting to spend money to improve the lives of others in this country.
We've spent over a TRILLION dollars in Iraq, a totally useless waste of money and lives from my standpoint. Now we're stressing over spending such an amount on something to help our country.
Why is it we're quicker to go to war than we are to improve our own country? I may not agree with everything in the health care proposal but I know something should and must be done. Healthier citizens are more productive citizens, just look at it that way. Health care should not be a commodity.

MB1984 - you hit the nail on the head. Everyone needs to put all the ideaology aside and truely work toward a compromise on health care reform. There is so much bad information out there that many people believe to be fact. My husband went to the emergency room last month and we have very good insurance through his employer. We still paid over $1200 out of pocket. Had we not been covered it would have probably cost $4000. So many Americans who are the working poor can't afford any medical expenses - should we just let them go without treatment?
Anyone that walks into an Emergency Room, illegal or not gets treated. Why can't you liberals understand that the poor already get free treatment?
11:22 people want free treatment to stop, especially for illegals. If a child came to you for medical care who was not a legal citizen, would you turn the child away?

Further, If this would allow an American born child to receive better care, Yes I would. If I could do it legally, Yes I would.
It is time for American to take care of their own born American citizens first. Once we have completed that simple task, then we can help others. We spend to much time helping other folks in other countries and failing to take care of own citizens. Crime rate high. Unemployment high. Medical insurance is sky rocketing because someone has to pay the bill for illegals and the children they keep having in this country. Let's take care of U. S. Citizens first.
