Date of Occurrence: Friday, August 21, 2009, at 7:10 a.m.

Resume: State Troopers and emergency personnel are currently on the scene of a two vehicle crash, involving a school bus, on Route 9.

Preliminary reports indicate a Colonial School District bus, heading to Gunning Bedford Middle School, was traveling southbound on Route 9. A pick up truck was on Hamburg Road at Route 9. What are the kids doing back in school already anyway? Why is it that schools are re-opening before Labor Day? It seems like summer vacations are getting shorter and shorter every year and that's just not right!!!
