WASILLA, Alaska Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said Friday she is resigning from office at the end of the month, raising speculation that she would focus on a run for the White House in the 2012 race.
The former Republican Vice Presidential Candidate made the surprise announcement from her home in suburban Wasilla on Friday morning. She said she would step down July 26 but didn't announce her plans.

I'm a registered Republican, and as much as I think I would like Sarah personally, I think she has a snowball's chance in hell of ever getting elected president. Because of the last campaign, and things that have occurred subsequent to the election, she's been reduced to being the female equivilent of Dan Quayle.
If you all would quit poking jabs at her and listen to what she has to say. It makes sense. I am sure you are not use to things that make sense considering all that senseless sh-t Obama has been doing. Especially the part about less government instead of more.
She is much smarter and more qualified than Puppet Obama who can even speak to anyone without a tele prompter. At least she can answer your questions with straight answers and not stutter because the prompter didn't have that answer on there. Now who is dumb.

Okay, I had to share the comment I just put on Two Sentz. This is for all of you who thought she made sense.
Her speaking style was more than odd, her word choice didn't make any sense. Go find a video clip of her speech and listen carefully. She begins talking about one thing, using the buzz words sure to get people's attention and then continues with words that aren't in context to the topic she's speaking on and she finishes with even more buzz words that don't draw a conclusion to the topic she began with. WTF? Also, I believe there's some scandal brewing and she thinks by getting out of office, her enemies will decide not to expose whatever it was she was up to.
So obviously, when I listened to her words, I like what Chuck called it - "word salad" - it was just a jumble of words that didn't make sense. Maybe if you listened to every 5th word you might have something, but the woman, or who ever wrote her speech, doesn't have a good command of the English language and an even worse grasp on vocabulary.

I listened to her talk yesterday in it's entirety. She spoke without a teleprompter and covered many of the highpoints of her administration. She clearly illustrated the cost of the investigations into her past at the state and personal level. She said she wasn't going to be a lame duck governor, and that she would be stepping down.
If you listened to her speak and didn't here that, your a freaking idoit. She was miked poorly so you could hear her inhale loudly, which made her sound out of breath, and there was a baby crying in the background, but nothing she said wasn't salient.
I don't think anyone is jealous of Palin. Nor do I think she is leaving the governorship because things got too hot - otherwise she would be bowing out of politics. She isn't. Mark my words she is joining the national scene so this is just another stepping stone. She will make major $$$$ in speaking fees as she continues to put herself out there in preparation for a national run in 2012 - and if she really thought the heat was too much in Alaska she wouldn't do that. Just more crocodile tears. The surprising thing is that if a democrat quit office mid term all you holier than though conservatives would be calling him a quitter, but Palin does it and magically makes it the fault of the liberals.
