One of the truly GREAT news commentators! Anyone who grew up on the Eastern Shore back in the
50's & 60's and only had WBOC on "rabbit ears" to view will always remember "And that's the way is" on the CBS evening news.

This is type of individual we americans should be honoring, not some child molester!

He gave credit to others and didn't bast in a self acclaimed glory. Prior to the world's Jerry Springer attitude we got news and not sensationalism. I wish he and his family the best and I will not loose my respect for him or his work.

When I was growing up my parents always watched the CBS evening news. He was a great man.

Like many of you, I grew up with his reporting and voice. However, I'll never forget hearing his comforting voice in Disney Land and Disney World. There was something about the way he presented everything, you could tell he was well educated in what he was discussing and without question you simply believed every word of what he said.

I remember hearing his voice last year while we went through different exhibits in Disney World and it instantly brought back great memories.

A proud liberal, who insisted, that when he gave his opinion it was labeled an editorial.
