Bumper Sticker

This mistakes the difference between apologizing for a country and apologizing for its government's actions.

Personally, I think our government has lots to apologize for on many fronts.

And for those of you who don't know what it's like to have to "sit somewhere else" or be refused entry to a club, no one can help you understand.

Germany apologized for the Holocaust. The leaders didn't say blame the German people.

Anything to start a fight. Sad.

9:10 is absolutely right.

Is there anyone on here that thinks the United States Government has NEVER done anything wrong worth apologizing for?

Better we just go around telling everyone how to run their country? Wonder why the so many hate us.

America owes no more apology than the first black people who started selling there own people for slaves.

So:

We should not be sorry that we overthrew the government in Iran.

We should not be sorry that we sold weapons to both sides in the Iran/Iraq war.

We should not be sorry that, after Gulf War I, we told the Iraqi people to overthrow Saddm Hussien BUT we did not back them up militarily or politically.

OK. fine.

Uugh.

Since we are apoligizing to every sorry SOB in the World why don't we apoligize to the British for starting the Revolutionary War?

Can we get off of the age old lie that blacks sold others into slavery? With a very few excptions, this was just not the case. Far more whites sold other whites into slavery during the infamous shanghi period of the American West. Your ptitful argument just does not hold water.

Why is it ok for them to come crying to us all the time yet it wrong for us to tell them how to fix the problem. Did you see the signs they were holding up in Iran? They were NOT in arabic all the ones I saw were in english. What does that tell you? These countries want our help yet dont want to be told what to do. If we keep helping them without telling them what to do they will never find a solution. I saw we stop helping them ALL. We have enough debt as it is why are we sending money to all these countries that hate us.

There has always been an unwritten rule that high ranking government official, would not make disparaging remarks about our country outside the U.S. This clown will bash the U.S. every chance he gets no matter where he happens to be.

No one has answered my question yet.

Racism in America doesn't exist? I guess a parent shouldn't apologize if their child kills or hurts someone and they should ALWAYS be proud of their little criminal. If what the fools above say is true, than that chick (Casey Anthony), who allegedly killed her daughter in florida's parents should be left alone. Anybody who argrees w/ that bumper dicker got to be a great parent (enabler). They sold slaves, so we should sale them, Dumb, ignorant, mentality. It is What it is, Racism is alive and growing.

7:02 Stop it. Your personal opinion is now an unwritten rule? Ridiculous...

Obama has never made a disparaging remark about the United States anywhere (let alone on foreign soil) that I've ever heard of, so try again.

I've got news for you Anti-Americans, Barack Obama is a real President (our President), Michelle Obama is a real First Lady (our First Lady). Get used to it or get out.
