Salisbury Police Department Provides No Press Releases

It has been nine long days since the Salisbury Police Department has produced any Press Releases on line. Their website had gone down one day last week but all in all the last time they produced anything on their Site was Monday the 20th.

This is in the very least a disservice to the Citizens of Salisbury, especially with crime being as high as it is here in Salisbury. We know they are putting some things out there for certain people but they refuse to post anything on their website.

So much for open government. Hey, I know, maybe there's been no crime and things are really turning around here in Salisbury. Any thoughts?

Yeah, get the new Mayor to do his job.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the mayor-He's only been in office for two weeks and there is certainly a lot to clean up. In addition, I imagine that it is a possibility that since Tilghman had them wrapped around her grimey finger that they (Webster) might not be fully cooperating with Ireton. It may not be so, but just a thought.

Then fire him, plain and simple. Let the courts work out his contract.

Here is the spd press realease.
We wish we had something to do down here at the station, but salisbury is such a good town there is no crime at all.
Yes we need a raise , look at it this way, it will help the local economy, you know like the donut shops and the local resturants.
There really is not a whole lot left for us to do since Iron Mike has become the sheriff.
Well Im on duty and have to get back to sleep , good night.

If you morons are so smart, check the calls for service. Stop relying on PRESS RELEASES. Holy crap!!! We all know there is crime in Salisbury. Do you really need a press release to tell you that there are robberies nearly every day and that you should be careful? As for the donut comment... 2:10PM can kiss my you know what. I bust my butt day in and day out at that place and I have never had a sip of coffee or a freaking donut while on duty. I am not asking for thanks. As for resistance to Ireton, that's a load of crap. The chief is going to do what he needs to do keep on the new mayor's good side so he does not lose his job. So you can all say what you will. But many of you haven't a clue. I hope Ireton keeps his promises. But I think he needs to lay off the precinct talk unless he plans to make SPD a 150-200 sworn personnel department. Thanks for the vent outlet, Joe!

There was one press release forwarded to SPD recipients this week. It was about an arrest of a guy wanted on a warrant in Delaware.
(Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.)
