Sherwood Ford Vehicle Breaks Wind
If you haven't been out and about today, the winds are so strong they're even bringing down light poles.
Granted, these poles should be designed to stand up to such winds but when you start hanging flags and string them up from one pole to the next, this is bound to happen.
The vehicle seen above took some very serious damage from the pole crashing down on its roof and I'm sure the City/County people will have to see if the base of these fixtures are in fact stable enough to continue to host all these flags.

I feel a good deal comin on that car!!!
I wonder if Sherwood will disclose this damage to the person who eventually buys this vehicle.
I doubt it. Don't buy one of those!
Someone needs to make sure they don't try to pass these cars off as new, undamaged.
Those aren't city or county light poles they belong to the property owner, it's his responsibility not the local governments.
I think these lights would be the owners responsibilty not the city or county
Looks to me like the weld broke.
stupid is as stupid does.
Maybe an insurance job, sales are not to good now a days.
Good pics Joe. Keep up the good work.
All these car dealers do the same thing with flags and streamers. Since most poles were put up long ago, they are not designed to withstand the extra tension from the wind; which there is plenty with flags. Poles are designed to withstand a certain wind load with certain lights on them only--nothing else.
It couldn't have happened to a better dealership!! They are crooks. If you ever buy a car from there, make sure you get a vehicle history report. Believe me, it's worth the investment. Didn't get a vehicle history report before I bought my car. Next thing you know it was problem after problem after problem. I did a vehicle history report and sure enough it had been wrecked. The messed up part was the lying salesman said "Oh no, it was a one person owner and there were no accidents. Car was very taken care of". Just watch 'em. They are snakes in the grass!!

You don't get it do you?
There is no way to stop them from passing it off as new because they will repair the car themselves, no paper trail!
I'll TAKE it! What are the odds of that happening twice?
Garp
My guess is... The 60MPH blast of wind that parts of Salisbury got at 1:30AM Sunday morning weakened the thing and today's wind finished it off.
lucky it didnt go the other way into the main highway
All I can say is, "OUCH!"
scratch, ding and dent sale....

Even though they ALL bear watching, this particular group has a history of not following through with their promises unless forced to do so.
We've learned (the hard way) to stick with the smaller dealerships. They seem to have been held more accountable over time, because in a small town word really gets around and stays around. They've got to stay somewhat honest or they go out of business. The big guys have so much turnover they don't care. Turnover both in staff and customer base allows for that "they don't remember" mentality.
Get the VIN # and turn it into CARFAX so it can't be sold as brand new. I bet you could get a right good deal on that baby right now especially if it comes with a new car warranty. It's not like it's been in a major accident.
CARFAX is a ripoff!
You sometimes are wasting your money!
If a car has been TOTALED, but the title has not been transferred, it will usually not show up on carfax!
In many cases, it will not show up until that title transfer.
And, yes it DOES matter that this car was not in a major accident, it was structural damage. Ask any reputable body shop!
this incident probably added value to that dodge!
