HELP STOP LOCAL GOV'T. CONFISCATION!

A real "tea party" is in order if the Wicomico County Council passes this bill. Not every member can be expected to "just say no" to the environmental elite and NIMBY's who are urging them to pass this bill.

Even if you're not a landowner, your rights could be attacked next. There are only TWO County Council Members who are against this Bill and quite frankly, to the 5 wanting to vote for it, expect Salisbury News to support whatever candidate will be running against you because YOU need to go.

Violating our rights like this is a travesty and clearly our Government is getting too big and clearly has too much time on their hands as well. Be prepared because the battle started when you actually considered this crap, now the WAR begins so that we can REMIND ALL of YOU that you work for We The People.

It's scary enough that most Americans are worried what direction this Country is headed. Now we have local politicians trying to demand they know what's better for us property OWNERS and what we can or can't do with this property. BITE ME! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! The War has just begun Folks. Any politician that supports this Bill will be exposed here on Salisbury News with the STRONG recommendation they be removed in the next election. WE pay our taxes, mind your own business and stay away from OUR land.

Why wait for the next election, start a recall petition immediately upon voting for this land theft.

BB:

Suggest talking with Bill Turner at ES Adkins -- can someone please post his tel. number -- or A. Kaye Kenney at (443) 235-0901.

I guess they think if they can't get the tax cap repealed they can steal peoples property. That is inviting an eventual Waco or Ruby Ridge! I can really see that coming.

Cannon & McCain are responsible for thie outrageous seizure of property rights. Hughes and MacLeod are their camp followers.

Not to Worry:

Rick Pollitt said in one of his speeches on TV that he would veto this BS.

He's not a flip-flop, right?

The real perpetrators are the persons who run the Wicomico Environmental Trust -- Pretl, Groutt, Burnett, etc. who live out in the rural areas and supported Comegys in the recent City election because he has tried to have all new development inside the City of Salisbury. These NIMBY's need to be put in their place.

McCain should not be supporting this. Conflict of interest?

I don't know who it is :)

This is the Land Grab Bill.

It makes sure that farmers can not sell their land. It freezes them out of selling their land for new homes making sure the current land zoned for this is more valuable and the farmers less valuable.

This doesn't stop or slow development it just enriches a few.

When someone takes something from the county without paying for it, they are sent to jail but I suppose the county thinks they can steal the land values from the citizens and that would be fine.

This is about power and control! Rid or take away, or control someones private land that they worked for, earned and own, and you rid them of their Liberty!

Isn't Blair Rinnier the son-in-law of Gail Bartkovich? Conflict of interest there?

Joe,

We've talked about this a number of times and your right. This has got to stop. I'll be there Monday. Everyone who showed up at the Tea Party should be there as well. If we're gonna make changes and this is truly a grass roots effort, let's start right here! This is a shining example of local government trampling of the freedoms of the individual. We're gonna be watching you John Cannon. If you vote in favor of this down zoning abomination, that will be the second time you went against the will of the people since you were elected. We're counting down John. Your days are numbered.

I'm telling you somewhere down the line somebody will take up arms and this is going to cause a whole lot of trouble.

Surely not me, I don't own that kind of property, but I can foresee this thing happening sooner or later. Make Columbine look like a knife fight.

Ruby Ridge all over again.

Watch out Johnny is a slumlord tycoon. Looks like ole Billy Duvall did have him pegged! If Rick doesn't veto this BS then I guess Billy will have been right about Rick too. I hope Rick does the right thing and veto's this rape of landowners. It's stealing and nothing less than stealing something that someone worked hard for. Johnny won't be getting my vote again or a sign in my yard.

Where are the other council members on this issue....Holloway, Prettyman,
Barkovich, Hughes, McCloud?

Seems like the President(Rino Cannon) and McCain(what's in it for me) are
the two who are driving this wagon.
Are the rest of the members following?

Saw Cannon at the Shorebirds Game
last night. Wish I had known about this. Who do they think they are.

That's the whole thing. These people are supposed to be representing us. They are also supposed to make sure what they are doing doesn't violate the rights of the people. This is clearly an example of what "We The People" need to make a stand against. Can we get a head count? How many will be there?

Anonymous said...

The two of us will be there. It's a promise!

This just in: you're all being completely duped. Not only would you ALL be wrong about this being a property rights issue if your ASSUMPTIONS about what a bill YOU DONT UNDERSTAND says, but it isn't even what 90% of the comments here have assumed it is. This is democracy at work: read nothing, understand even less, voice an angry position based on the nothing you've read and even less you understand. Well done, folks. Way to make us all proud.

11:03 Please explain. Whose being duped? Enlighten us please. What don't we understand about this terrible bill?
