Joe/Jim/Anyone who knows:

On page 207, there is a general revenue item of $1,719,000 with the Account Name "Cap Lease" (Capital Lease Proceeds). What revenue is this (who pays it and for what) and is it real cash flow or an an accounting gimick of some flavor?

3:57,

This is Mayor Tighlman's budget--Jim did not have any say over it. We have a stupid system that needs to be fixed.

Notice City Council's budget is slashed. Bubba and Louise qualify for gov't health insurance, Shanie gets health insurance through the Daily Times, leaving 2 families dependent on city insurance. Hmmm . . . who would that be?

My favorite part is the $8000 dollar raise Lore Chambers is getting,

It's a shame he can't throw this out and start over; and we ALL know the vote on starting it over will be 3-2

We're screwed for 2 more years!

That's exactly what Obama's defenders have been saying about the Federal budget, but the Republicans aren't buying it...

Jim had no say in this budget, like Obama he has to live with his predecessors mess.

I see again, no raises for Public Works.

When is Jim going to announce there will be no need to ask for a FOIA in the city, like Pollitt did in the county?

Is Jim going to allow the department heads to speak with council members without going through John Pick and soon Lore Chambers?

These two things could have been announced when he was sworn in.

Jeez, you people are really impatient! Jim has been mayor for 2 full days, and you already want proclamations? The fact that the budget is online 24 hours after he became mayor is huge--give the guy credit! I wannt to draw attention again to the fact that Mayor Tighlman has cut health insurance for Debbie Campbell's family, and Terry Cohen's family--they have kids and to cut their health insurance while putting an $8,000 raise for Lore Chambers is outrageous, to say the least! The citizens need to speak up about this. It is vindictive and is very revealing of the former mayor's low class. The council must restore this money, or it will be on THEIR heads if one of the kids gets sick and cannot get proper care.
