Well Said, Bill Cosby

'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.

I can't even talk the way these people talk:

Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.

And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.

In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.

$500 sneakers for what?

And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2?

Where were you when he was 12?

Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?

And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?

People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?

What part of Africa did this come from??

We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa .....

I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.

I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany, Scotland, England, Ireland, or the Netherlands. The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa. So stop, already! ! !

With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap ..... and all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.

We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.

We have millionaire football players who cannot read.

We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.

Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.

We cannot blame the white people any longer.'
Dr. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed.D.

WELL SAID, BILL

It's NOT about color...

It's about behavior!!!

And yet Michelle Obama is whining to schoolchildren about being frequently ridiculed by her schoolmates for "talking like a white girl" Eric Holder calls us a notion of cowards. Brazilian president blames the economic crisis on "white people with blue eyes".

Last year Bill Cosby came to speak at my school. I am a teacher in Philadelphia. This event was well promoted by our school. He was coming to speak to the parents of our students. Would you believe it if I told you that only 30 parents showed up. Our school has 450 students. The words that came out of his mouth were so true about the state of our youth here in Philadelphia. If you have a chance, pick up his book, Come On People.

Bill Cosby is about the only person who can "get away" with telling like it is without being called an Uncle Tom, a racist, or a bigot.

I applaud Bill Cosby for taking a stand and telling it like it is. He has taken a lot of heat from the Black Community. The problem is, it’s really not all their fault. It’s the fault of the do- gooders in the White Community that have actually caused the problem. We as Whites have put ourselves in a position where we are afraid to cut any programs that might force people in the Black Community to change. We don’t want to be accused of not caring. I worked my whole life to get to retirement age and relax and enjoy the rest of my remaining days. I see young Black families living the life I worked for just because they refused to get an education or provide for their families. The white politicians take care of them.
I’m all for equal opportunity. Yes, I do volunteer in the Community and see the lack of family relations in the Black Community. The young people take care of themselves. They grow up on the street and everything they learn is from older friends.
It’s time to stop the give- a ways. It’s time to hold the Black Communities accountable and not just push it aside. The above also applies to those in the White Community that make a living off of our taxes and generosity.
For those in the Black Community that do take raising a family and providing for their children seriously I respect all of you. We all have to come together and make this a Community issue, not a raciest issue. If we can establish strong family bonds within our own families , make our children dress for success rather than emulate rock stars and get an education we will cut our crime rate and come together socially.

At what point in American history did we go wrong? Just 50 years ago we did not have all these freebie entitlement programs yet families of all colors stuck together and survived. Was it the "War against Poverty" in the early 60's that started the ball rolling and led people to the trough? Is this what LBJ intended?

I truly wish people understood that if there is no ill intent there is no racism. A white man raped and murdered a woman. A black man raped and murdered a woman. An asian.....etc. what is the diffrence? Nothing, just a way of identifying persons, gender, weight, height, color, hair, eyes. Get over it, and grow up is my advise to persons who cannot tell it like it is because they are truly racist, one way or another.

If you feel that it is a racist commemt, it is probably because you are racist. I have been called a white woman, hey, that is what I am. I don't get the discussion at all.
