As you probably already know, my brother-in-law, Chuck Campbell, needs a double lung transplant and we have been diligently working to raise the $1,000,000 which the hospital says he needs in order to get started.
The deadline for the townhouse/condo raffle is March 31, 2010 or when we sell 40,000 tickets, which ever comes first. If we fail to sell 8001 tickets (enough to pay for the house and car) before then, all funds raised will convert to a 50/50 raffle with the winner receiving 50% and New Lungs for Chuck receiving 50%. The terms are on the back of the ticket which you will receive after you purchase on-line.
I have exciting news! Chuck’s boss, (Sandy Fitzgerald-Pohanka) has graciously offered to raffle off her beautiful Palm Aire Golf Course Townhouse in Sarasota, Florida for his benefit. One thing is for sure from those of us who know Sandy Fitzgerald-Angello, the owner of Pohanka of Salisbury, she means what she says and says what she means. What an incredible gesture for one of her managers...literally saving his life.
Paying it forward to our community has been a dream of Sandy's since she moved here over 10 years ago. And, this is only the beginning. What a fantastic lady! Keep up the good work!
