I just wanted say I was there what a great crowd. Joe as usual awesome job getting the news and photos out. It is great to see so many locals come out and support a special talent.

I would like to say i have read a great deal of post that made comments about the lack of a knockout. Boxing is a sport and an an art. The knockout is what we all want to see. The fight was a true slug fest. No one knows what damage is done early in a fight. Fernando is an up and coming fighter that gets better every time I have watched him fight. To anyone that has been hit and knocked down imagine being hit ten or fifteen time with that force. It take a huge toll on the body. Who cares if he makes it all the way to a title with decisions. Hal Chernoff has trained this kid and done an awesome job. These fights are eight rounders for a reason he is bringing him along very methodically. on that note hats off to the Chernoff family for bringing boxing to Salisbury. The Chernoff's have done it with great respectibily. There have been others that where no more than criminals trying to hide their dirty money. Thanks Hal and Nancy for being the classy people you are. I know if i had a child that wanted to pursue this sport I could think of no one better than Hal Chernoff to bring him along.

The sad truth is that Fernando will eventually have to move into the arena with the Don Kings and that is sad. I hope this young man the best in his travel to the top. I am sure hal has prepared him for all the adversity that comes with "Big Time" boxing.

It was great to see such a cross representation of our community in one place having a great time. The students, local politicians, there were people from all walks of life attending and they appeared to have a great time.

What a wonderful thing for Salisbury and Wicomico to have something to cheer for. Fernando is a class act that will represent this community in a positive light for a long time.

Joe you have done a great job getting the word out there and promoting a great sport that has died in other areas.

I will say the Civic Center is a Grand Old lady that needs a major face lift. It is a bit embarrassing for the community to have people from all over see the poor shape of the facility.

I think this venue shows people will come if we put on class acts. If the community feels they have a stake in it, it makes it that much better.

Who knows a hockey team or arena football, soccer, lacrosse, could be on the horizon for this community. We need something to cheer for. We have a great place keep up the support.
