Now that the filing period has ended for this year’s city election, it is possible to see light at the end of the tunnel under this scenario:
1. Either of two credible candidates – Tim Chaney or Cynthia Polk – prevails in District 1.
2. Debbie Campbell holds her seat in District 2.
3. Either of two very good persons Bob Caldwell or Jim Ireton – becomes Mayor.
Please help to make it happen, starting now (not after the primary), because we know that the landlords (SAPOA) and others who see Salisbury as a cash-cow will be going to even greater lengths than they have to maintain the control that they have had for years – most recently under the Barrie Tilghman regime and her puppets on the Council.

This is probably the last chance to save Salisbury. We can count on SAPOA to pull all the stops -- do you recall that letter written by Richard Insley that landlords sent to their tenants in the city election 2 years ago and the yard signs on all the rental homes?
This City doesn't have the will to make a positive change. There are so few people who are eligable to vote anymore it isn't funny. Huge amounts of rentals and a society that doesn't care is why Salisbury is in such bad shape. Corruption lurks around every corner and the Mayor cultivates this enviroment. I am so sick of 3 to 2 I could scream. Don't get me wrong. I would love for any of the afore mentioned candidates to win. However, I know the scenario that has played out before.
Slumlords and her highness resereck the dead to vote and get their way at our expense. Just look at the last election. Bubba looked like an ass in the forums and was all but dead. He mysteriously recovered and won. Anybody dumb enough to vote for that clown needs to seek professional help. Louisel AKA Linda Blair turned her head completely around after the election. Shanie....!!!! Oh never mind. She ain't worth my breath.
We are in a deep hole and all the new candidates know it. The trick is to find a way to get the concerned citizen to vote and mak it count, If not we're in for a hard road.
I can't wiat for the forums to begin. The firefighters hosted the most imformative format last time. Unfortunately Larry Dodd payed the price for educating us. He did a great job as MC, but was retaliated against after they were done. After each session the Mare would call the Fire Chief and curse like a sailor. Oh yes the Mare know the F word. A flood of mysterious disciplinary actions followed for Mr Dodd. This is how the system works. If you go against the grain YOU PAY FOR IT. Who will have to pay this time for getting the truth out.
Might have some trouble with having two good candidates. If half the intelligent people voting for one and the other half voting for the other, they could negate each other and jack hole could sneak in and take it. Please do not say there are not enough unintelligent people in Salisbury to vote for jack hole. My proof that there are enough...Barry was elected wasn't she.

The clear and present danger is that we are lulled into stupor and inaction by the joy of Barrie's departure.
PS- Can't wait to hear her farewell address -- she will probably invoke Douglas McArthur instead of Winston Churchill for a change.

$500 rental license fee per property AND
Cap rent at 1% of assessed value per month
Shift the burden of city finances to rentals and make the business unprofitable in an effort to increase home ownership.
Brushmiller's trial on the charges by the City of Salisbury is set for Feb 2 -- wanna bet Barrie either drops it or tells the attorney (Mason) from Wilber's office to take a fall?
The traffic charge (75 in a 55 zone) is set in March, but the procecution there is not being handled by Wilber's office.
Also see that Brushmiller has recently been in the small claims court in Kent County, as a defendant.

It looks like the "let them eat cake" attitude has come back to bite them on the tail. It's time to get good ole boys out of our government. they are leaches on our revenue.
I wonder if Chief Baldy has been submitting his resumes already.

This is an excellent idea. We will never get our city back until we eradicate the 80% rental properties.

Several people have been victimized by the female Hiltler also known as Barrie Parsons Tilghman. These people have paide the price in many ways and has suffered both financially and emotionally. The only redemption for these people would be to see that beast hauled out of the Government Office Building in handcuffs. Can someone please get the right authorities involved with this and help the citizens of this once fine city.
If the city is 80% rentals, of course they should pay for 80% of the infastructure and public safety. Homes may actually start selling at prices people can afford.
