John Travolta is allegedly being extorted for "millions of dollars" by a pair of men who reportedly are threatening to release a photo of a dying Jett Travolta unless the actor pays up.
Britain's Daily Mail reports that once the extortionists made their demands clear, Travolta contacted his lawyers, who then flew to the Bahamas to meet with the culprits. The Daily Mail cites local media as reporting that two men -- a local Bahamian politician and an ambulance worker -- were being questioned about the incident.

That is just sick! If this is true these men should be shot.
Isnt the big stink about this tragedy that they are scientologist and do not believe in taking medicine to control ones mind and or ones medical problems? The boy had siezures and was not takin any medicine to help with that from the things I have read. I dont know because I rarely trust what I read. Not that any of this would justify in any way what these parasites are doing, theres some sick people in the world.
I can't imagine the Bahamas are going to put with this. They handled both the Jett and Anna Nicole Smith's cases with kid gloves, even allowing outside experts to come in and investigate. They have real estate values to protect.

Yeah, I dont even know what scientology is all about to tell you the truth. Sounds like another religion to me, who knows. Its just hard to believe that there are people out there that would trade their own soul for profit. I gotta look in the mirror and be able to live with what I see, myself. The endless pursuit of money at any cost is just sick, and it seems like its everywhere.
It does not matter what the cause of this boys death was, what these leeches are doing just ain't right.

The press has been sensitive out of respect for the man and his family.
John Travolta is a US Citizen and as such he has freedom of religion like every other citizen.
As a parent I feel for his loss and cannot put into words how low or how bad what these criminals are doing is.
That's the same crap that happened when Cosby's son was murdered. People hung out at the airport the body was flown to, to get pics of the casket being unloaded.
And Mr. Wilkerson, wild accusations lessen the credibility of any statements you make. Perhaps you should have read up a bit more before prognosticating on what you don't know.

These men are low life scum to try and extort money for these pictures. It's a very tragic loss for anyone to lose a child. The other problem is that people would actually buy a stupid magazine with these pictures were in it. It's a vicious circle. If the pictures do get published, then the people who buy the magazines or went online to seek these pictures out are just as bad as the scum trying to sell them.
You know its bad enough that the Travolta's are still in mourning over the loss of their son. People will do anything now days to take money from those that are down. Its ridiculous the way they use things to hurt other people. If you two men had any sympathy at all for other people's feelings then you wouldn't even be trying to extort money from other people. Thats just showing how uncaring and ungrateful you are to others feelings sensitivity. Scientologist are people defrauds members of their church and abuses them. Paramedics are suppose to be people who help you not extort you because they want extra money in to put in their pockets.
Bahamas senator accused in Travolta plot resigns

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) — A Bahamas senator accused of trying to extort money from actor John Travolta after his son's death resigned on Saturday and vowed to prove her innocence.
Sen. Pleasant Bridgewater, an attorney from Grand Bahama, said she plans to fight "untrue and unfair charges" stemming from actions she took as a lawyer.
"How these innocent actions can be so misconstrued, so perversely twisted to mean something other than it was, is a mystery," she said without providing more details.
Bridgewater could not be immediately reached for comment.
Travolta had filed a complaint of attempted extortion, according to police, but did not release any details of the alleged plot. The actor and his wife Kelly Preston have returned home to Florida with the ashes of their 16-year-old, chronically ill son, Jett, who died of a seizure this month at their family vacation home on Grand Bahama.
Authorities arrested Bridgewater Thursday on charges of abetment to extort and conspiracy to extort. She was released Friday on $40,000 bail.
The leader of Bridgewater's opposition party, former Prime Minister Perry Christie, said in a statement that he regrets the turn of events and accepted Bridgewater's resignation.
"I believe that this is the right and appropriate thing to do in these most unfortunate circumstances," Christie said.
Police also had detained ambulance driver Tarino Lightbourne and former tourism minister Obie Wilchcombe. Lightbourne is still in custody but Wilchcombe has since been released pending further investigation. The parliamentarian has described himself as a friend of Travolta who was with the actor shortly after his son died.
Tabloids earlier had quoted Lightbourne on his efforts to revive Travolta's son.
Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Marvin Dames said that Lightbourne was wanted for attempted extortion. He has not been charged.
