Gannett's Detroit Free Press announced a few hours ago that it will cease home delivery of the papers' print editions on most days of the week, except for all but the most lucrative days of the week which are Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
Gannett is The Daily Times parent company and its trading symbol is GCI.

Does this mean that the weekly cost of the Daily Times will be less? Does this mean that all funerals will be scheduled Thursday through Sunday? With no paper in the beginning of the week, we would not be informed of daily deaths. Will you now post obituitaries Joe?
Has everyone heard of the Daily Times latest policy? If you don't receive your paper, the options that you have are re-delivery the next day or a credit You will not get the paper re-delivered on the actual day the paper was missing.
PS---no paper today as yet!
Delivering yesterday's news tomorrow.
