Looks like the balls in your court. The invitation is out there for all to see. Its your choice. Listen to the Mayor and be a scrooge or ring with Joe and be a Hero to your men and the public. Its a pretty easy choice from where I sit. Whats your next move ?

This is one more example of Joe Albero putting his money where his mouth is.
I will bet he not only donated his time, but stuffed a little cash into the bucket too.
PLUS this is great PR for Sams Club part of the largest company in America who needs no extra advertising but is getting it free.
Heck if I am going to be in Salisbury while Joe is ringing the bell, its hard not to stop by, say hi, shove a few bucks in the till then walk into Sams, renew my membership and spend a couple hundred more.
KUDO's to Mike Lewis for taking the time to ring the bell.
If there is anyone who does not think the Salvation Army is not a good cause; go to the Christmas present give-a-way.
They make Christmas for a lot of families here on the shore and around the country.
The gifts they give are new and what kids want. Not a bunch of old crappy stuff.
If you are in the giving mood don't forget the other local charities, homeless shelters, missions and organizations where you know the money you give will be handed right back out to deserving people.

There was one word in your post that doesn't match the fire Chief. The word is leader and he is not even close to that. He has nothing to do with his men and alienates himself for the most part. The only person in the SFD that he associates with is Gordy. Thats because he runs the fire department for him. His men dont care for him and think he's a joke. They call it 'LITTLE MAN SYNDROME". I wouldn't look for him to ring with anyone. He's always been miserable for as long as I've known him. I would stick with Sheriff Lewis. At least he's sincere and you know where he's coming from.
I'm sorry, but the idea of the chief ringing a bell for charity makes me remember an old song. Does anyone remember the song,

Joe, you can't cyberbully people and expect them to stand by you. You are arrogant and self-serving.
See isn't in the same league as Mike Lewis, so don't even try that. Nmae me something he has done for the community before Saturday. If it wasn't attached to a paycheck it didn't happen. He is so unfriendly it isn't funny. He lives with a permanent scowl on his mug. Mike's guys would follow him into any battle, but See's boys would have to think twice or thrice. He ain't changed in 50 years and ain't brave enough to tag team with Joe.

Can anyone guess who this author is?
I have a better question. Can anyone name just one thing David See has given to this community?
David See has always been one miserable bastard and alway hated volunteers. When he was a paid captain at Station 2 he blamed the volunteers for everything and would drop the "F" Bomb on them all the time. No volunteers would come around the station when he was working.
I also remember when he was assigned to the training center and he was almost fired by Chief Higgins. Higgins gave him one more chance and then Higgins left the department. David See was so damn lazy he would never fight fire. He would always sleep during the day at the training center drive a truck at night for Josh Thompson Trucking. That lazy bastard.
Chief See did spend a few hours ringing the bell. What's wrong Joe are you getting tired? You should think before you attack people! Maybe you would have more support.
Now you see you are not as popular as you think you are.
