I saw Jim last night at the GOB for the tree lighting. Everyone treated him like he was family and Comegys put his tail between his legs and left 45 minutes before they lighting of the tree. I watched him leave with Shanie. The Mayor knew they had left but made an announcement as if they were still there.
Well, it seems pretty clear to me the Daily Times Poll was complete BS! Comegys is a joke and has absolutely no chance at becoming Mayor. I know it's still early but clearly people want change and Bubba is just more of the same.

Jim Ireton for sure. Bubbas has proven that he's an idiot. He is nothing more than an extension of the Mayor. I welcome the change and a better city. We've watched this once great city crumble before our eyes.
I would vote for Jim Ireton, even though it's pretty clear most of the comments for Ireton here were composed by the same person.
Whoever gets in will have to face quite a fiscal mess and better be thinking about redoing the city's fiscal policies. Is Ireton going to be the only other choice? Or will there be other who throw their hat in the ring soon?

Well if we want no brains we'd vote for Bubba. Considering the TRUE state of the city, We, my whole family, is voting for Ireton.

Someone should tell Jimmy to order 1000 signs, I can't tell you how many people have come to me or e-mailed me to get them a yard signs and bumper stickers. I'm not even in his campaign group. I'm going to try and work with Debbie and Jim both when the door to door comes around but I bet we see more signs for mayor than signs we saw in the national election.

Do NOT underestimate those people though. They will do everything in the book to get Gary elected and get Debbie Campbell out.

I do not live in Salisbury, so I can't vote. But I do know Jim Ireton and Debbie Campbell, and they will get my financial support. Serious disability prevents me going out knocking on doors, or I would do that too.
