I Do Not Believe We're Going To Have Any Answers Today On Kratovil/Harris

I'm told here in Wicomico County that they're only going to count 2,500 of the ballots today and the balance tomorrow. So if you're on the edge of your seat, relax for a while.

I also heard Harris is doing really well in Anne Arundel County. I'll keep you posted as the information comes in.

How about the split on what they count today?

Don't look now, but the State Bd. now has Kratovil up by 1,033 votes.

Joe:

Who is actually counting the absentee votes here in Wicomico and deciding which to count? And who is there watching/acting on behalf of each candidate? What disputes, etc., have occurred and have any (how many) been disqualified.

Apparently things are really tense up in Bel-Air, and this process is always heated in Towson.

This is a major story of this election in this County and the Shore, and it really warrants more than "we'll let you know, later" (ala the Daily Times).

[from the Politicker MD website]

The MD Board of Elections now has Kratovil up by over 1,000 -- the difference from the data posted yesterday seems to be higher numbers for both in Somerset County:

District Totals:

Kratovil 161,183
Harris 160,150

Joe, the answer to why no results today is shown in your blog just before this one. Look at the pictures of the people at the Board of Elections, HOW THE HELL CAN THEY COUNT WITH THEIR SHOES ON? Maybe you can get me an answer. Thanks

Kratovil's lead increases as the absentees are counted.
