Debbie Campbells Is Ringing the Bell

Debbie Campbell is at Giant Foods right now ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. If you are out that way, stop by and help Debbie fill the kettle for a very worthy cause. Debbie has volunteered for the 9am until Noon shift today.

We need to not making a big deal over certain people ringing the bell...the countless number of unnamed people who volunteer are the real heroes..just because debbie campbell or joe albero ring doesnt mean the attention should be on them

The reason they are there alone is because they committed the Salisbury Fire Department and then it backfired because no one would do it for them. The Salisbury Fire Department is in very bad shape under this current administration.

It does make a difference. It goes to show you that Debbie and Joe are no better than the countless number of unnamed volunteers.

Do you see Barrie and Bubba out there volunteering their time? NOPE.

Thank you for your time Debbie, Joe, and the countless volunteers.

I took my camera out and was just about ready to photograph the Fire Marshall car in Wal-mart's parking lot when I noticed that there was a Fire Chief at the kettle ringing the bell.

But I can also tell you that I have seen the car filled with family members during the middle of a work day. Moreover, I've personally witnessed Gordy using the Fire Marshall vehicle to conduct business at the Autumn Terrace convenience store that he leases from the Rommels.

Debbie Campbell and Joe Albero, through their service, whatever their motives, are drawing attention to the need for bell ringers. That is a good thing. It is not that they are more important than any other bell ringer.

I don't know Joe Albero, but I've known Debbie Campbell at least casually for many, many years. Contrary to the snarling politicos and the holier-than-thou-but-always-wrong Daily Times, I have never known Debbie Campbell to do anything with an ulterior motive.

She is, simply, one of those very nice people who does very nice things. All the time. Without expectation of thanks. Just because it's the nice thing to do.

That's been my experience.

This kind of niceness is something the Three Amigos of the Council and HRM (Her Royal Meanness, the Mayor) cannot comprehend.

How about a little Christmas spirit here and thanks for all that the Salvation Army does. 11:56, I'm hoping htat you'll volunteer a few hours to ring the bell, if you haven't already. I'm sure that Joe would post your information and maybe that would help to raise awareness and get more people to volunteer. Three cheers for the ladies from the Kennel Club who were at Giant this afternoon, the guy at Walgreen's this morning, the Chiefs, Debbie, Joe and anyone else who has or will volunteer.

As long as its not political propaganda from any parties including Mrs Campbell

9:46, political propaganda? If you've seen the bell ringers, smiles on their faces, friendly greetings, please. I was at the park tonight for the lighting. Campbell was there. She was with her husband and enjoying just like most of us. The politicos Tilghman, Comegys, Cathcart, Dunn, all together under the tent thinking they were very important and laughing it up as they smile in the faces of the taxpayers and then act in ways that fly in the face of the public trust.

If you had your camera why dint you take a picture? Would have proven the Chief was ringing the bell, the Fire Marshall car was in the wrong and show us all how Gordy conducts personal business in a FD car. So now tell us all why you dint snap a few shots.

Joe, I know we have a good candidate for District 2 as in Mrs. Campbell. We also have a good for Mayor as in Mr. Ireton. One thing we keep failing to consider is the District 1 seat. I don't think this city can tolerate another 4 years of Shady Shields. I know we can find a decent candidate for District 1. One thing to remember is that District 1 includes many decent residents and businesses.

We also need to consider the fact that her vote makes the majority for the next 2 years and we need to fix that.

Does anyone know of a good candidate for that seat.
