Bubba Sez....
Schools are not considered in the annexation process because schools are not his problem, it's the county's problem. Do you think it's safe to say Bubba doesn't consider anything in the annexation process, other than KICKBACKS and how much of the tax payer dollars they can give away to developers? This moron wants to be R NECKS MARE

Maybe the County should just allow County residents to attend County schools. The City of Barryville can then start their own school system.
The indoctrination of the heathen children from the City, would, certainly make the "mare" proud.

That was also Bubba's position several years ago when they did the Hearne annexation for a large residential project (that fortunately has not happened) at Dykes Road and South Division Street. And after that he was reelected -- go figure.
Comegys saying just what Cathcart said in years past--both stupid as to this issue. It is annexation that allows higher density than County, which allows more school overcrowding. Smarten up, Gary.
Let's not waste any time trying to make sense of this guy and his philosophies. He doesn't really have any. Put the effort toward getting a worthy, can I say smart? candidate elected. Comegys is truly without a clue. On all levels.
We need to get rid of these city idiots. We do not need 2 bodies of
goverment in this county. The COUNTY goverment needs to step up and take over the city with a population of around 23,000. Get rid of these city yoyo's. Let the mayor position be similar to the Wizzard in OZ. Make believe!
