Pinchers Restaurant Violates City Ordinances

The weeds are so overgrown at this Restaurant, one has to wonder if they're even in business any more?

I also know that they employ children under the age of 16 in positions they should not have been working in.

I never even heard of this place. Where is it?

it looks so bad that i thought it was shut down when i rode by Sunday.

Is that going to be the new home of Fratelli's?

It sure wasn't a good year to open up an all you can eat crab restaurant. It hasn't even been a good decade to open an all you can eat crab restaurant.

It is so weird that I am ready this story today. I ride by this establishment every day and lately I have been wondering if they are still open due to the overgrown weeds. I have been wanting to try the place out but after the appearance on the outside, I don't think so! I thought the same people that owned Fratelli's was the same people that owned this place. Fratelli's sure doesn't look like this.

SU has bought the Fratelli's shopping center. I was asking was this their new home, I'm not sure who owns it right now.

They should name the place "The Jungle Safari" and make claims that all the overgrowth is the atmosphere LoL That would be interesting in court.

RIP Mulligans!

It's owned by the same people as Fratelli's. From what I hear, they're getting ready to close it down for the off season in the not too distant future. Sounds like a poor business decision to me.

We tried it about a month ago - thought we would save on gas instead of driving to the Red Roost or Old Mill. The food was decent as was the service and the prices were about the same as the others. We were told that they would be closing at the end of summer.

It is a shame that they haven't paid more attention to the appearance, inside and out. It would be nice to have a crab place in town.

I am confident that Tom Stevenson and the mare jumped right on it this morning even though city employees don't read SBYnews.com (wink wink) especially while at work.

Let me tell you something about this place. I took my Mom there for dinner in July. Wanted to try it since it was in Salisbury, and didn't want to drive to Red Roost or Old Mill, same as 11:03 in that aspect.

However, the only enjoyable thing that happened was a pleasant server. We had all you can eat snow crabs, blue crabs, and fried chicken. I had the snow crabs. It was very apparent to me (I used to work in a crab house) that the snow crabs had been resteamed over and over again. The meat inside the snow crab was so dried out, it was not even worth picking. My brother had blue crabs. He agreed that they had been resteamed, but he had one blue crab that was so disgusting. He opened it up and the rotten smell from that one crab was so horrible the smell of it surrounded our table. And then the Fried Chicken. Well the first batch we got at our table was okay. The second and third appeared to be cooked from the outside. But, once we opened up the chicken the chicken was pink and raw.

I can not tell you how disappointed I was with this meal. Our whole table told our waitress, who we knew it was not her fault. We asked her to bring the manager over to the table. We saw her go up to the manager and he acted like he did not want to come over to the table. All he could say after we told him all of this was, "Ok." The manager never offered anything to us to satisfy our meal, or anything at all.

This was indeed the worse experience EVER that I have ever had at any restaraunt. And I will never go back to this establishment, and I suggest that you do not either.

The entire Allenwood shopping center , including BB&T Bank, is owned by SU. Has been since 98. They rented the properties out for all this time to pay for the place. In May all of it is closing to make room for a 5 story dorm building. SU wants to bring the businesses back after constrction is complete, but good luck with that. I'm sure Fratellis will move into Pinchers location and there will be no more Pinchers.
All this info is straight from the employees of BBT, and the Leiutenant at SUPD.

THEY ARE NOT IN THE CITY.

I wonder if the building still smells like puke the way it smelled when it was Mulligan's. Maybe the crabs cover up the smell. Too bad no one realizes what a crappy job Fratelli's does at trying to be Italian. Real Italians would never eat there. It's like that SNL sketch about Olive Garden--Bada Bing Bada Boom Bada Baby Back Ribs.

reheat your crabs the next day in the microwave, it works and doesnt dry the meat out.

My husband and I ate there our first and last time. THE FOOD WAS FROM YESTERDAY OR LAST WEEK! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

Don't the owners know that most restaurants in Salisbury fail even without this type of horrific appearance? There should be more Mcdonalds so we can hopefully make it to the "America's most obese city" list along with the "most contaminated river" list.

Serving good food, especially seafood is a fine art. The Red Roost has been doing this since the early seventies when the late Frank Palmer started this trend of all you can eat crabs! The new owners have been able to carry on this fine dining tradition. So do yourself a favor and leave it to the experts!! BON APPETITE !!
