It didn't take long for the word to get out there to Comcast even on a Saturday where they still have the pages up, yet they pulled ALL of the photos, even the stolen ones.
Comcast took the photos from Salisbury News and placed them on their Website without permission and more importantly they refused to give credit to me or Salisbury News. Like I said, they're welcome to them if they simply give credit but similar to WMDT, they chose to take down the entire article instead of giving credit where credit is due.
You have to admit, someone has been watching Salisbury News for them to pull everything on a Saturday, all within a couple of hours.

I'll tell you someone else who steals alot of your stories. During this whole bank fiasco I've seen WBOC post within an hour or so your stories on Banks that have been siezed by the FEDs.
and they have been stealing your stories for a long time.
TV stations, cable and Website have practically made a business model out of stealing from newspapers. In the late 90s, the MSN "local" news in my town (where the NBC affiliate did NOT do a local newscast) simply lifted copyrighted stories straight from the local paper, sometimes doing something like rearranging the order of paragraphs to make it appear not to be theft. Of course, every two-bit blogger does the same thing, but it's far more offensive when corporate giants like MSN and Comcast steal from actual content creators. Since actual recoverable damages from such theft are so tiny, they know they can keep on doing this, and they will. Scumbags.
